In my mid-twenties, I faced significant health challenges that required emergency medical care on multiple occasions. Thanks to our city’s two strategically located fire stations, Hiawatha Ambulance can reach nearly any location within city limits in just two minutes. This rapid response time is critical in emergencies, where every second counts. Moreover, the level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise demonstrated by our EMTs and paramedics has made a lasting impression on me—and undoubtedly on countless others in our community.
