Throughout my life and career, I've discovered that my greatest joy comes from helping others succeed. Whether it’s fixing a broken piece of technology, teaching someone how to navigate the digital world, or fighting for representation in my community, my passion and care for others drive everything I do.
Helping People Solve Problems
One of my biggest passions is solving problems—big or small—that make life easier for others. Through my business, Technically Easier, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals, particularly those aged 55 and older, learn how to better use technology. I see the frustration that comes from feeling left behind by modern advancements, and I love being the bridge that makes those advancements accessible and empowering. It’s not just about technology; it’s about restoring confidence and independence to people’s lives.
Giving Back Through Repairs and Donations
I’ve also made it a mission to use my skills with electronics to help people in need. When I repair a broken TV or refurbish an old computer, I’m not just fixing a device—I’m giving someone the ability to connect to the world. For people without access to technology, this can mean finding a job, attending a virtual class, or simply staying in touch with loved ones. These small acts have a ripple effect, and knowing I can contribute to someone’s future in this way motivates me every day.
Advocating for the Underserved
Caring for others extends beyond my technical expertise. I’m running for a seat on the Hiawatha City Council because I want to bring new perspectives and voices to the table. Living in the lower-income part of town, my desire to ensure that everyone in our community has a voice.
A Belief in Shared Humanity
At the core of my passion for helping others is a simple belief: we are all connected, and we all deserve respect, support, and opportunity. Whether it’s through a small act like teaching someone to use a new app or a larger goal like improving local government, I strive to make life better for the people around me.
Every person I help reminds me why I care so deeply. My work is more than a career or a campaign; it’s my way of making a positive impact. Helping others is not just what I do—it’s who I am.
