About CJ
I’m CJ Flynn, a lifelong resident of Hiawatha, Iowa, and deeply committed to our community's growth and success. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with several local organizations, including serving as Vice President of the Friends of the Hiawatha Library, where I support initiatives that enrich our public library and strengthen community connections.
My dedication to democracy is demonstrated by my service as a Precinct Election Official (PEO), ensuring fair and transparent elections. I’m also a former member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA), AFL-CIO, from my time working at a member-owned phone cooperative, where I gained firsthand experience advocating for workers' rights and fair labor practices.
Currently, I own and operate a small business that specializes in providing tech support to seniors aged 55 and older. My business is built on the values of accessibility and empowerment, helping members of our community stay connected and confident in an increasingly digital world.
Hiawatha has been my home for the majority of my life. It’s a wonderful place, with great services, a vibrant community, and a solid foundation to build on. But I believe we have the potential for so much more. With your support, I’d like to help our city grow, thrive, and unleash its full potential. Together, we can make Hiawatha an even better place for everyone.
